Lake Manyara National Park is home to the incredible Lake Manyara, a soda ash lake and host to a variety of bird species including large squadrons of pelicans and a flamboyance of greater and lesser flamingoes. The Park is also renowned for its tree climbing lions and large troops of baboons. Its immense population of African Elephants and breathtaking scenery also makes it worth your while.
Ngorongoro Crater, an extinct caldera on one of the extinct volcanoes known as the Ngorongoro Volcanic Complex (lake Eyasi half-graben), is widely known for its protected wildlife ecosystem. A descent to the crater’s floor will immerse you in a vast ecosystem with large herds of wildlife species such as rhinos, buffalos, zebras and hippos. The cat predators such as lions are densely populated. At the crater’s floor is also a small mesmerizing soda lake referred to as Lake Magadi.
You will meet our representative for pick up from Kilimanjaro International Airport on the first day. After a short itinerary briefing, you will board your awaiting vehicle and begin your Safari to the Lake Manyara National park. You will arrive shortly, check in and head for a game drive in the park.
Enjoy a picnic lunch and a game drive for the rest of the day. Lake Manyara National Park is a small but scenic park. Enjoy the splendor of seeking out its tree climbing lions and searching for other animals. At the Lake Manyara, experience the sight of the flock of pink flamingoes against the horizon and the pelicans, their constant companions.
You shall return from the park for dinner and overnight at your accommodation.
Wake up and enjoy a delectably hefty breakfast before leaving the serene sight of Lake Manyara behind. Proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a game viewing adventure.
The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the largest intact calderas in the world. The Crater, declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, boasts of a unique ecosystem, being a natural sanctuary for vast populations of large mammals. It is home to the Big Five wildlife species as well as large herds of zebras and wildebeests that traverse its stretched plains.
After an exhilarating adventure for the better part of the day, return to your accommodation to relax, have a delicious meal and enjoy an overnight stay.
Wake up to a leisurely breakfast before your departure to Arusha. On your way back to Arusha, make a few brief stops for souvenirs and lunch at a local restaurant at own cost.
Drop off will be at your Arusha hotel or the Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) or at your preferred drop off location.
