Tour Plan

Day 01 Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Your safari starts at 7:00 am. We will pick you up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Nairobi hotel. You'll travel north through Kenya's central highlands. You'll pass lush tea and coffee plantations. Halfway through the journey, you'll stop at the Equator. You'll take photos and see a demo of the change of hemispheres.

You will arrive at Ol Pejeta Conservancy around midday. Then, check in at the camp/hotel in time for lunch. After freshening up and enjoying a hot meal, relax. The camp's serene setting has views of a nearby waterhole. Wildlife often visits it.

In the afternoon, you'll head out for an exciting game drive. Ol Pejeta is famous for its conservation work. It is home to the last two northern white rhinos. You'll also visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. It is Kenya's only orphaned chimp refuge. It provides a safe space for them. The conservancy has many animals, including the Big Five. This makes for excellent wildlife viewing.

After the game drive, you’ll return to the camp to freshen up before dinner. Dinner is served outside, with soothing traditional music. The waterhole setting offers a chance to spot more wildlife as you dine. For adventure seekers, we can arrange an optional night game drive before a stay at camp for the night.

Day 02 Ol Pejeta – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast at Sweetwaters, you'll depart for Lake Nakuru. You'll descend into the stunning Rift Valley. Stop briefly at Nyahururu to admire the 74-meter Thomson's Falls. They are named after explorer Joseph Thompson. He traveled through Kenya in the 1880s. The cool mist and lush scenery are perfect for photos. Then, continue your drive.

You'll arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch. Check in at your lodge. Enjoy a hot meal and views of the park's serene landscapes. After lunch, take a moment to relax and freshen up before heading out for an afternoon game drive.

Lake Nakuru is famous for its thousands of flamingos. It has over 400 bird species. You'll also have a chance to spot wildlife on the drive. Look for Rothschild's giraffes, black and white rhinos, lions, buffaloes, leopards, and waterbucks. The park’s scenic Makalia Waterfall is another highlight to look out for.

As the day winds down, return to the lodge to freshen up before enjoying a freshly prepared dinner. End the day with a peaceful overnight stay at the lodge, surrounded by the beauty of Lake Nakuru.

Day 03 Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

After breakfast at your lodge in Lake Nakuru, you'll depart for the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve. You'll drive along the scenic floor of the Rift Valley. In the Masai countryside, you may spot young Maasai warriors, known as Morans, herding cattle across the savannah. It's a rare glimpse of traditional Maasai life.

You’ll arrive at Masai Mara in time for lunch. Check in at your lodge, and enjoy a hot lunch while soaking in the breathtaking views of the Mara’s rolling plains. After some time to relax, embark on an afternoon game. The Masai Mara is famous for its wildlife, including the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino. It is also home to many birds and reptiles.

At sunset, the golden light will create stunning wildlife silhouettes. It's one of Africa's most iconic scenes. After the game drive, return to the lodge to freshen up and enjoy a delightful dinner. End the day with an overnight stay in the heart of the Masai Mara.

This day offers a great chance to spot the Big Five: lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and elephant. Also, you'll see Masai giraffes, zebras, and various antelopes.

Your day can be tailored to your preferences. One option is a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. It lets you explore the park at your own pace. This approach ensures you won't miss wildlife encounters. It also lets you enjoy a picnic in the savannah.

Alternatively, you might prefer a leisurely start with an early game drive. This option lets you see the park's wildlife at its most active, especially the elusive big cats. After your morning adventure, return to the lodge for breakfast and some downtime. Relax by the pool or unwind in your room before heading out again for an afternoon game drive around 4:00 pm.

For the adventurous, a hot air balloon ride is optional. It offers a unique view of the Mara's stunning landscapes and wildlife. This breathtaking experience starts early in the morning. It offers panoramic views as the sun rises over the savannah. After your balloon ride, you’ll be transported back to the lodge for a leisurely lunch.

In the late afternoon, you'll return to the reserve for a thrilling game drive. You'll search for the Big Five and capture the Mara's beauty at sunset. As the day concludes, return to the lodge to freshen up and enjoy dinner, reflecting on the day’s adventures.
