Ol Pejeta is approximately 3.5 to 4.5 hours away by car from Nairobi, and your tour begins with a pickup at 7:30 AM from your hotel or the airport. Get to Ol Pejets at noon, settle into your camp or lodge, eat a hearty lunch, and then head out for a game drive in the afternoon. Get your first game drive started. The "Big Five"—elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo—call Ol Pejeta home. Following the game drive, we return to the lodge or camp by 5:30 or 6:00 PM, where we change and eat a freshly made dinner. Spend the night at your lodge.
Return to camp for breakfast following an early-morning game drive in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Spend some time exploring and saying goodbye to the abundant wildlife of Ol Pejeta. Leave the conservancy and start your journey through the incredible Rift Valley scenery to Lake Nakuru National Park. Take a quick break along the way to visit the historic Nyahururu Thomson Falls, which bears the name of Joseph Thompson, one of the first European explorers to pass through the area in the 1880s.
Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, reaching your camp or lodge in time for lunch. Before leaving for an afternoon game drive between 4 and 6:30 p.m., take a moment to unwind and take in the stunning surroundings. The colorful birdlife of Lake Nakuru National Park is well known, especially the well-known pink flamingos that adorn the lake's shores, making for a breathtaking sight. Rothschild's giraffes, black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, waterbucks, warthogs, and baboons are among the diverse wildlife and more than 450 bird species that call the park home.
Return to your camp or lodge for dinner and a restful night's sleep in the serene Lake Nakuru wilderness after your game drive.
Enjoy your last game drive of the day in Lake Nakuru National Park, where you can see thousands of flamingos that are painting the shores pink and come across waterbucks, rhinos, and leopards among the park's varied landscapes. Once the game drive is over, leave Lake Nakuru and have lunch in Narok town before heading on to the famous Masai Mara.
Enjoy a game drive on the way to your lodge or camp when you arrive in the late afternoon. You can see the "Big Five," as well as other wildlife like giraffes, cheetahs, and more than 470 bird species, during an afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara after checking in and taking a quick nap. Enjoy dinner and relax at your lodge or by a campfire while listening to Maasai music as the day comes to an end.
In Masai Mara Game Reserve, begin your day with an early breakfast before starting on a full-day game drive. In addition to elephants, zebras, and giraffes, the park's abundant wildlife, which includes lions, cheetahs, and leopards, will enthrall you as you enjoy the fresh morning air. Your safari adventure offers plenty of chances to see these animals in their natural environments, thanks to the pop-up roof's unobstructed views. Savor a packed lunch in the reserve while taking in the breathtaking surroundings.
You have two options for the afternoon: flexible game drives or more park exploration. Sightings of the Big Five and other amazing wildlife are well-known in the Masai Mara. See the nomadic lifestyle of the Maasai people by visiting a nearby village for a fully immersive cultural experience.
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay, bringing a perfect end to your full-day adventure.
At the lodge in Masai Mara, start your day with an early breakfast while admiring the wildlife. When you leave the park after breakfast, take a final morning game drive through the reserve, where you will have one last chance to see the "Big Five" and other wildlife.
You travel through the Great Rift Valley on your way to Lake Naivasha, where you may occasionally spot wildlife. Early in the afternoon, you will check into the Lodge for freshen up and lunch
The afternoon Safari begins with a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you can see a range of birds, such as fish eagles and pelicans, and observe hippos in their natural habitat. You can take a guided horse ride safari on Crescent Island, which offers a rare opportunity to stroll among giraffes, zebras, and impalas in a tranquil, wildlife-rich setting, after a quick boat transfer. As the day comes to an end, head back to the lodge for dinner and a restful evening waiting for more adventure tomorrow.
We are leaving for Amboseli National Park after breakfast at the lodge by the shores of Lake Naivasha. Our safari will pass by the stunning Great Rift Valley viewpoint, which is the ideal place to stretch your legs and take in the landscape. We can stop along the way for a beautiful photo if you'd like. Before continuing our journey, we will stop for lunch at a nearby eatery to sample some of Kenya's exquisite food.
As we approach Amboseli, the environment gradually changes, providing vistas of the countryside and its beauty. We will have enough time to get settled in our lodge and rest when we get to Amboseli in the late afternoon. Elephants, lions, and other wildlife that inhabit this park will be introduced to you during a game drive later in the evening as the sun sets. Dinner will be provided at your lodge, where you can eat while taking in the sounds of the African night while dining outside under the stars.
The trip from Amboseli to Tsavo West National Park is a day filled with great things and variations. Following an early morning breakfast, you will say goodbye to Kilimanjaro's imposing presence and travel through shifting terrain. A quick visit to the supernatural Shetani Lava Flows provides a window into Earth's flaming history before you check in for lunch at the lodge.
Wildlife encounters fill the afternoon with a beautiful view. At Mzima Springs, hippos and crocodiles relax in clear waters while birds sing from high up. While exploring Tsavo's extensive grasslands, you will search for its renowned red elephants, elegant giraffes, and maybe even hard-to-find big cats. The day ends with a beautiful drive back to your lodge, where you can enjoy dinner with amazing views, the perfect way to finish your safari experience.
