Excursion Day Program

Begin your exciting day with a convenient 9:30 am pick-up from your Nairobi hotel. Start your adventure at the Nairobi Snake Park, a part of the National Museums of Kenya, located next to the Nairobi National Museum. A favorite among visitors, the Snake Park showcases a fascinating collection of reptiles, including puff adders, cobras, mambas, and the impressive African rock python (non-venomous and native to Kenya).

The park is also home to various species of crocodiles, the American alligator, freshwater terrapins, and tortoises. Additionally, aquariums feature colorful coral fish from East African lakes and rivers. The Snake Park has provided refuge for rescued, abandoned, and endangered reptiles since its establishment, including a giant tortoise found wandering in Limuru in 1961, which remains a beloved resident.

Visitors can learn about snake identification and handling techniques, with park staff offering valuable advice and assistance. The exhibits include a mix of reptiles, fish, and unique succulent plants, making it a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts.

After exploring the Snake Park, head to the iconic Giraffe Center, a haven for the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. Learn about the center's conservation efforts and get a chance to hand-feed these gentle giants while enjoying close-up interactions. Take a leisurely stroll along the nature trail for serene views of the surrounding area.

After a fulfilling day of wildlife experiences, you'll be dropped off at your hotel in the afternoon.
