Overview

After an early morning game drive and breakfast, journey to Lake Naivasha, a serene freshwater lake in the Great Rift Valley. Stop for lunch en route and arrive at Naivasha in the afternoon. Relax with a scenic boat ride on the lake, spotting hippos and a variety of bird species, including pelicans and fish eagles. Later, take a guided walking safari on Crescent Island, where you’ll walk among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Spend the night at a lakeside lodge.

Depart Lake Naivasha after breakfast, heading towards the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at your safari camp or lodge. In the afternoon, set out on a game drive across the vast plains of the Mara, home to an abundance of wildlife, including the Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes. During the migration season (July to October), witness the spectacular movement of wildebeest and zebras across the Mara River. Later return to your accommodation for dinner.

Spend the day exploring the Masai Mara on game drives, both in the morning and afternoon. Witness the dramatic landscapes and incredible wildlife interactions, from predators hunting to herds grazing. For a unique experience, consider an optional hot air balloon safari at sunrise, offering stunning aerial views of the savannah and its wildlife. After a day of adventure, visit a Maasai village to learn about their culture, traditions, and way of life. Return to your camp for a final night in the wild.

After an early morning game drive, enjoy breakfast and bid farewell to the Masai Mara. Begin your journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Depending on your schedule, you may have time to explore Nairobi’s attractions, such as the Giraffe Centre or the Karen Blixen Museum, before your safari adventure officially comes to an end.
