Kenya’s famous national parks and diverse landscapes provide a wide range of safari experiences. Nairobi, the colorful capital, offers a unique urban national park and conservation centers that make it an ideal starting point for wildlife adventures. Heading south, Amboseli National Park draws in tourists with its recognized Mount Kilimanjaro sights and big herds of elephants Wandering across the savannah. While neighboring Lake Nakuru National Park delights with its known flamingo flocks and rhino sanctuary, the Great Rift Valley beckons with Lake Naivasha’s serene surface and abundant birdlife.
The Masai Mara, Kenya’s premier wildlife viewing destination, is where the journey comes to an end. This huge reserve, which is a part of the Serengeti ecosystem, is home to an unsurpassed number of animals—including the Big Five—and is where of the amazing yearly migration of wildebeest. From forests and highlands to plains scattered with acacia trees and soda lakes, visitors will find a variety of ecosystems supporting distinct flora and fauna throughout these varied regions. The safari circuit offers a comprehensive and unique East African experience by showcasing Kenya’s natural wonders as well as providing insights into the rich cultural heritage of the Maasai people.
Pick up at 7:30 and proceed to Nairobi National Park for an early morning game drive, The Park which is Kenya's first-ever National Park is a unique and unspoiled wildlife haven within sight of the city's skyline. Rhino, buffalo, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, lion, and plenty of antelopes and gazelles can be seen roaming in this open plains country with a section of highland forest Ornithologists catch with over 300 bird species including the Secretary bird, crowned cranes, vultures, peckers and many more
1100hrs-12:30hrs: Visit the David Sheldrick Elephant orphanage, where young orphaned elephants are brought after being rescued and fed until they are mature enough to be released into the wild. You can learn more about elephant conservation efforts from the sanctuary's educators and come within feet of the biggest land mammal. As part of fundraising, you can adopt a young orphan elephant by donating to the cause.
1300-1400 hrs. You break for lunch at the popular Carnivore Restaurant or at Galleria
1430 -1530hrs: Visit the Giraffe Center where you feed the friendly Rothschild Giraffe. They accept a kiss as they pick their food from your palms! You will then be transferred to your hotel.
When Antonio personal guide meets you at your preferred Nairobi location—your hotel, your adventure officially begins. After climbing into our tough 4x4 and traveling the scenic Nairobi-Mombasa route, we headed for the wild beauty of Amboseli National Park.
The scenery changes as we leave the city behind, becoming a patchwork of tiny farms and wide savannah. Look out for sightings of Maasai herders, whose colorful traditional attire stands out against the earthy hues of the plains. When we arrive at our cozy Amboseli accommodations, we'll take a break for a filling lunch and some downtime before the fun starts again.
Our afternoon safari is set against the beautiful scenery of Kilimanjaro, which towers over the park. Upon exploring the different environments of Amboseli, ranging from verdant swamps to arid plains, we will be alert for the park's most well-known inhabitants—its massive herds of elephants.
Look in wonder as these quiet giants stroll across the terrain, frequently traveling to and from their preferred drinking sources. Amboseli's little greenery makes for great opportunities to see wildlife, so be sure to bring your camera for mementos of Africa's iconic animals against the snow-capped peak of the mountain.
Enjoy breakfast with the stunning Kilimanjaro backdrop before departing for Lake Naivasha. Along the way, stop for lunch and take in the changing scenery of the Rift Valley.
Upon arrival, check in at your lodge by the lakeshore. Spend the afternoon exploring the lake on a boat safari, spotting hippos, giraffes, zebras, and an array of birdlife. Relax at the lodge in the evening and enjoy dinner with views of the tranquil lake.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, a birdwatcher's paradise famous for its flocks of flamingos and rhinos.
Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge before embarking on an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is home to endangered black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, Rothschild giraffes, and waterbucks. Marvel at the views of the lake and surrounding escarpments as you spot wildlife in the park.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, traveling through the scenic Great Rift Valley. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the world-renowned reserve. The Masai Mara offers some of Kenya’s best wildlife viewing, including the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo) and other iconic animals like wildebeests and cheetahs.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Spend the entire day exploring the breathtaking Masai Mara National Reserve. Start with an optional hot air balloon safari for spectacular aerial views of the savannah, followed by a bush breakfast in the wild.
Continue with game drives across the rolling plains and along the Mara River, home to crocodiles and hippos. Watch for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and the herds of wildebeests and zebras that make the reserve famous.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Masai Mara. Then, begin your journey back to Nairobi with a lunch stop along the way.
Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel, the airport for your homebound flight, or your next destination.
