Your journey begins with a morning pickup from Nairobi, followed by a scenic drive through rolling hills and green countryside. Upon arrival at Kiambethu, you’ll be warmly welcomed with a steaming cup of freshly brewed tea or coffee, accompanied by delicious homemade biscuits. As you settle in, the host will share the fascinating history of the farm, which dates back to the early 1900s, and explain the tea cultivation and production process.

Next, you’ll take a leisurely walk through the tea plantations, where you can see how tea is grown, harvested, and prepared for export. The experience continues with a guided nature walk through an adjacent indigenous forest. This forest is home to diverse flora, unique bird species, and the playful Colobus monkeys, which you might spot swinging from the trees.

After the walk, you’ll return to the farm’s veranda to relax with more tea or a refreshing drink while soaking in the spectacular views of the tea fields and the distant Ngong Hills. This peaceful moment offers a perfect way to wind down before the journey back to Nairobi, where you’ll arrive by early afternoon.

This enriching tour combines history, nature, and relaxation, making it a perfect half-day escape from the hustle of city life.
